Beauty. Color. Knitting.
Pastiche Knitwear grew out of my own personal knitting journey from hobby knitter to knitting instructor. Having learned to knit as a small child, I made the requisite slipper socks with the pom poms on them as well as my first design – a breathtakingly hideous garter stitch purse knitted in acid yellow acrylic yarn.
Years went by and I picked up needles again when I was pregnant with my daughter. My knitting was still the boss of me, though, as I blundered my way through and hoped for the best. Somewhere along the way, the determination to learn overtook the intimidation and I really started to analyze the work and began to see the simplicity and beauty of knitting.
I started teaching in 2007 and now it is my joy to help knitters on their own creative journey. Teaching happens locally in my LYS in Knoxville, TN and at fiber festivals and knitting conferences, as well as online on YouTube. Designing happens whenever the urge hits.
